These hooks are similar to the successful Demon Circle Heavy hooks we've been selling for quite a while now. The differences are that they are made from a lighter gauge wire and have a wider gape than the heavy model. The wire is strong enough to deal with most eventualities. 

The distinct curved shape of the circle hook will, when the fish takes the baited hook and swallows it, ensure that the hook travels to the corner of the mouth or lip, resulting in fewer deep-hooked fish.

The circle hook can be used for a whole range of applications from drifting with live bait or trolling with bridle rigged to deep-dropping - they are also very popular with customers travelling to Norway to fish for halibut. When live baiting always match the hook size to the bait. Setting the hook is more of a firm tightening of the line, than an actual strike.
